Things in Space can impact the Earth. I blame George W Bush.

Things in space can impact the Earth.

I know, its strange to think, and even a little scary... But stick with me here.

According to NASA (who I'm sure is working for the Oil Companies and George W Bush him self): things in space can affect the Earth. Sunspots (on the surface of the Sun, which is in Space) and even the position of Venus (in space too) when it passes between the Earth (which is a lot smaller, yet more powerful, yet... Less... Powerful... All at the same time... Then some people think)

Sun Spots:
In October 2003 the Earth-bound sunlight dimmed 0.3 percent for about four days, due to three very large sunspot groups moving across the face of the sun.

Things floating through Space:

Using data from NASA's SORCE satellite, scientists noticed that, when Venus came between the Earth and the sun on June 8, the other planet reduced the amount of sunlight reaching Earth by 0.1 percent. This Venus transit occurs when, from an earthly perspective, Venus crosses in front of the sun.

So... If I am reading this correctly... Things in space can cause the Earth to get colder. Well, that just does it. I had better leave my Trans Am in 3rd gear from now on to pump out more CO2 to offset Venus!

Wait! There's more!!!

Nasa has an entire section talking about the Sun, and one of the best things you can get out of this (if you believe in the fallacy that Humans are warming the planet):

The other big problem scientists face is too little data. Even in instances when solar energy measurements are accurate, researchers often don't have enough information with which to draw conclusions. Building models to forecast long term trends, in particular, requires a tremendous amount of past data on those trends. At this time, scientists only have roughly twenty years of satellite data on the Sun in an equivalent of just two 11-year cycles.

Even natural things on the earth have to do with the weather.

Continue reading it if you wouldld like. But NASA is man enough to admit that there isn't enough data to say anything conclusiveve about global warming. The do mention, however, other things that can change the climate of the Earth naturally.

The roles of the Ocean in Climate Change:

Volcanos can even cause climage change.

As i've asked before:
  1. Is it possible that Mother Nature is stronger and more influential then Man?
  2. Is it possible that the Earth is influanced by things other then my Trans Am and Chevy Tahoe?
  3. Is it possible that we could stop using all forms of energy and the Earth would still get warmer?
  4. When they say "hottest its been in 100-400 years," what was it that made it so hot 100-400 years ago if they didn't have SUVs?
  5. If the Earth's climate changes naturally (swinging from highs we've never seen to lows we also have never seen) Then how can you prove that the current swing is our fault?
This planet has been through alot. without us, and with us. The weather people can't even predict the next 3 days most of the time.

Why can't all the hippies who think we are killing the planet, be in the same boat as I? oh yea... Its Bush's fault the boat is too small.

I Call this: The Madden Creative Charger.

As opposed to being a Pod-Person, I am a Creative Person. So in my bout of creativity (and some research on the internet) I discovered several people out there had created Battery Powered chargers or battery backups that will allow you to plug a USB Device into it to Power, Recharge, or Extend the Battery Life of whatever USB device you choose.

In my case, I have a Creative Labs Nomad Vision: M MP3 Player as well as a PCC-6700 Telephone. Unlike the Pod-People, the Creative Labs MP3 player gives me music or radio for 14ish hours (Several more then iCrap, er... Pod) before I have to recharge it. Long enough for me to charge it once a week. Most people have made thiese for iPods (here refered to as iCrap) because no doubt, if Apple made a unit with enough battery charger, peope wouldn't be so.. Creative. Te-he. Get it.. Creative... as in... Creative Labs... as in... Not an Apple MP3 Player... hehehehehe.... ahhhh... so anyway...

Video Playback is about 4 hours (twice that of iCrap), but the real worry is my Pocket PC phone. I am always on the internet with it, and have to plug it in in the afternoon. (a very busy day of internet browsing, by the way). A battery powered charger that runs on AA batteries seamed to be one hell of an option. Feel free to try this, but at your own risk.

First you have to start out with a 4xAA Battery holder, which can be purchased at radio Shack for less then 2 bucks.

This here already has the USB female end soldered on, as well as a set of batteries in. They are AA Rechargable, but non rechargable will work fine.

The USB port runs on 5v. Each battery is about 1.2v.
1.2 x 4 = 5.0
You can install a resistor in line as well, just in case. Batteries can very a little bit. But shouldn't be enough to burn the unit out... Use a resistor if you're paranoid.

Here is a photo, little closer, of the USB connector. If you don't know what Red and Black are, your a dumb fuck. But just in case:

Red: +
Black: - or Ground

on the USB connector. 1 is Power and 4 is ground. So put them together using a Soldering Iron.

Here is my case. Madden 2000 for N64. The N64 case is a little too narrow to fully enclose the batteries without a little... Creativity. I prefer this (for now) that way I don't have to keep screwing the cartrage apart.

I choose Madden for 2 reason:
1. My buddy Dave and I play this all the time. I kick ass at video games, but I have never beaten him. Eat this, Dave.
2. It was the least expensive N64 game at GameStop.

There is no problem in life that can't be solved using Power Tools. In this case, my issue involving the "Narrow-tivity" of the case was a problem. Turn on power tool. Problem Solved.

Power Tool + Madden 2000 =
I WIN DAVE! BWA HAHAHA!!!

Test fitting the power pack. The top of the power pack does not raise above the case of Madden, but by cutting off the top, I've accomplished two things:

1. Created an easy access port for swapping out batteries.
2. Created just enough room for the powerpack so Madden could be fully closed up.

I'll try to figure out a way to keep dust from getting into the batteries. But, so far so good.

Glue that suck'a down. Super Glue and a careful alignment. I also cut down the wires so there wouldn't be extra in the pack.

Now, go find something to do while the glue dries. In my case, I went for a drive.
My hybrid burns Gas and Rubber. (www.hybridmuscle.com)

Now to test it.

Bwa hahaha! Its Alive!!! It worked great in my MP3 player AND my cell phone. Now, all I have to do is clean up the back door, and make one for my wife! Must... Make... Wife... Happy...

Oh yea, if you like the backround image on my MP3 player, you can download it at my other website: www.zeeboid.com

Minneapolis needs to use its Police Time better

Minneapolis, Minnesota has passed a law that is being fought in federal court. This law would fine non-adults $25.00 for purchasing a game that is rated for people older then them.

Remember, this is coming from the same politicians who think Light Rail will work great in Minnesota.

Minneapolis has over 2.5 times the violent crime (per capita) then New York or even L.A. and they are worried about kids buying games. I wonder how much of my tax monies are going to go into this crap. Perhaps, Minneapolis, MN... You should be worried about stopping people from KILLING each other then stopping kids from buying a game.

After all, liberals: "Lets not let the evil system suppress the rights of people to express themselves through whatever art form they want." Video Games are no different then Books, Newspapers, Movies, or Music. While art form should be marked (by the maker of the item) in a voluntary way so people know what to expect for that item, those items should also NOT be restricted in who can purchase them.

If the store doesn't want to sell a game to a kid. Fine. And I can see the whole "lets not let a kid purchase porn" thing too, however these restrictions should be performed by the business owner. Not the Government. And especially not Minneapolis. Minneapolis should be worried more about keeping people from being shot to death.

Don't Park Like An Ass, or I'll Get More Cash.

My friends have commented on my stroke of good fortune in most things... My ability to kind of be a Dick, yet get the best out of most situations. Here is another event of this:

My wife and I were out at Axel's Bonfire Grill in Eagan several nights ago, and this guy in this white truck was parked like an ass. I hate it when people park like this... So I take an opportunity to park as close to them as possible. You can see by the photo, that I am the one within my lines here. (my car is the white one with "Support Our Troops" plates, by the way)

There was only about 1.5 inches between our cars after my marvelous "inside my own damn lines" parking job. I do this often when I see a car parked like a Dick. Come on. Its a freek'in ford Truck, not a Dodge Viper or something.

Note the care taken as to get as close to his driver's side door as possible. Note the careful placement of the mirror to make sure there was no way he could get in that side. It is the most fun to do this to Corvette drivers, who have to climb over their center console to get in to their car. That can't be comfortable.

So, when we returned, after our tastie meal... The Dick in the Truck was kind enough to leave a DNA sample for me (which is a usual gift when I do this)

So, I perform my usual "Walk around the car" to make sure there is no reason to report his vehicle description and license plates (which I have so convently recorded with my digital camera) as a Hit and Run, and what is this that I find by my passenger side door???

Lets look closer, shall we?

Oh, Snap! That guy left me $10 in cold hard cash along with his DNA Sample! Thank you Mr. "I park my Truck like a Dick" dude!

What have I learned by this?

1. It pays to tell others off.

2. When you park like a Dick, you can loose more then easy access into your vehicle.

Good thing Democrats are so open minded

Joe Biden: Dumbass from Deleware. actually said this:

“In Delaware, the largest growth of population is Indian Americans, moving from India. You cannot go to a 7/11 or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking.”

You can see it in this video here: Windows Media Format (NON Mac)

Then there is Alec Baldwin... talking about how Bush/Cheny stole both their elections (dispite the recounts that all showed them as winning) and oh, lets not forget his comments about killing Dick Cheny.

This is your United States Democratic Party.

NYC Terrorist Plot wiped up like the tears of the Left

Threatswatch.org talks about it here

Mark my words. The liberals will way this is a Bush administration plot to increase support for him or the war... (kind of like what the LA Times is even saying now) but when they weren't reporting things like this, the Bush administration (according to the LA Times, and other Liberal Press) wasn't gearing the job done.

I also bet you are not going to see this in the news for more the a day or two. Remember, what's good for America is bad for Democrats.

At least some good things were said:

"This is one instance where intelligence was on top of its game and discovered the plot when it was just in the talking phase," Schumer said.

Actually, Schumer, this is one of many instances where intelligence was on top of its game.
